Ora Wittmer, 83, of Odon, Indiana, went to Heaven, on Friday, November 6, 2020 at Deaconess Gateway Hospital in Newburgh, Indiana. He was born on November 9, 1936 in Daviess County, Indiana to David and Catherine (Stoll) Wittmer. Ora married his loving wife, Nancy (Graber) Wittmer on October 17, 1963.
Ora was a member of the Gideons and a charter member of the Bethel Mennonite Church. He worked as a feed salesman for many years.
Family members left to cherish the memory of Ora include: his wife, Nancy Wittmer; two sons, Nelson (Theresa) Wittmer and Rick Wittmer (special friend, Christine Fegan), both of Odon; grandchildren, Brooke (Logan) Wagler, Kendall (Jaycee) Wittmer, Alex (Cheyenne) Wittmer, all of Odon; great-granddaughters, Mavery Jade Wagler, Penley Grace Wagler and Kyah Dawn Wittmer; sister-in-law, Agnes Wittmer and brother, Wilmer (Rosie) Wittmer.
Ora was preceded in death by his parents and brothers, Elmer Wittmer and Amos Wittmer.
Funeral services will be at 3:00 PM on Tuesday, November 10, 2020 at Bethel Mennonite Church in Odon with Carmen Detweiler, Melvin Paulus and Simon Knepp officiating. Ora will be laid to rest in Bethel Mennonite Cemetery.
Family and friends may call from 12 Noon until the time of service at 3:00 PM on Tuesday at the church.
Memorial contributions may be made in memory of Ora to the Gideons.
Following CDC guidelines, face masks will be required and continue with social distancing please.
