Local Health Departments remind residents to follow mandates

Local Health Departments are reminding the public to stay safe. The Daviess County Health Department asked residents and businesses in Daviess County to assist in lowering the infection rate by following the Governor’s Executive Order, wearing masks, maintaining social distancing, self-isolating when you are sick or have tested positive, and frequently washing your hands.
The Knox County Health Department also put out a similar message last week. They reminded the public and businesses to follow the mask mandate and told local businesses to comply with the mandate alongside Holcomb’s other orders.
All restaurants are to abide by the state’s mask mandate and are required to have a sign posted on their doors telling patrons to wear a mask or go home if they are sick.  If they don’t, their food permit could be revoked until an acceptable safety plan is approved by the health department.
