Vincennes University is suspending all in-person classes for the remainder of the fall semester. University President Dr. Chuck Johnson made the announcement yesterday and explained it was due to the rising threat of COVID-19. After Friday, students will shift to online learning.
Students living in residence halls are encouraged to move back home, however, the halls will remain open through the rest of the fall semester. Students who check out of residence halls before the end of the fall semester will receive a pro rated credit to their account for room and board charges.
All University sites will be closed from November 25th through the 30th for Thanksgiving and Fall Break. Fall Break runs through Tuesday, December 1st. After Fall Break, classes will resume virtually on Wednesday, December 2nd. The final day of the semester is Friday, December, 11th. Virtual Mid-Year Commencement is slated for Saturday, December 12th. The 2021 Spring semester begins virtually on Tuesday, January 19th. Face-to-face classes will begin on Monday, February 1st, 2021.
