Perdue Farms is doing many things to keep employees and the public safe during the pandemic. Yesterday during a zoom meeting, Perdue Director Bill Wood stated that they have increased housekeeping staff by 300%, installed hand sanitizer stations all over the plant, and that they have moved time clocks around to allow employees to space out. Perdue has also done a great many things for their employees, including providing several free lunches, doing product give always, and handing out T-shirts. They also have been providing free flu shots through the Perdue wellness center.
This year, Perdue Farms celebrates their 100th anniversary. In honor of this milestone, the company has donated over $1,000,000 to several food banks.They have also given out products here locally at Daviess Community Hospital and the Ketchum Memorial Center. Perdue has also provided guidance to employees on how to stay safe at both at work and at home.
