Jasper, Indiana police are investigating an early Saturday morning exchange of gunshots that left two men dead. Police received a 9-1-1 call around 2:15 a.m. Saturday morning reporting a male with a gunshot wound on Rhine Strasse near the 47th Street intersection in Jasper. The wounded man was identified as 19 year old Andres Lopez of Owensboro, Kentucky. Police then received a second call for Jasper Memorial Hospital reporting a second male was in the emergency room with a gunshot would. He was identified as 21 year old Tre Carnahan of Eckerty. Both men later died of their wounds.
Police say the incident occurred in Maple Grove Trailer Park and both men exchanged gunfire with handguns. The investigation is on-going.
