Leo Laughlin

Leo E. Laughlin, 98, of Odon, Indiana, peacefully went to Heaven on Saturday, November 21, 2020 at his residence at Parkview Village in Odon. He was born on May 30, 1922 in Daviess County, Indiana to Rufus and Letha (Pruett) Laughlin. Leo married the love of his life, Imogene R. (Kelsey) Laughlin on March 28, 1941.
Leo was a World War II, US Army Veteran. He was a member of the Odon First Christian Church and a lifetime member of the Odon VFW Post #9627. Leo retired from Crane Naval Base as in Inspector in supply with 34 years of service. He enjoyed baseball, basketball, mowing grass and just working in general.
Family left to cherish the memory of Leo include: one daughter, Vickie Pershing; two sons, Carl (Valerie) Laughlin and Rick (Kay) Laughlin, all of Odon; nine grandchildren; twenty-three great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.
Leo was preceded in death by: his parents; his wife, Imogene Laughlin; eight brothers, and four sisters.
Funeral services will be at 1:00 PM on Tuesday, November 24, 2020 at Meng Family Funeral Home in Odon with Brother Richard Smith officiating. Leo will be laid to rest in Walnut Hill Cemetery following military graveside rites presented by Odon VFW Post #9627.
Family and friends may call from 10:00 AM until the time of service at 1:00 PM on Tuesday at the funeral home.
In compliance with state regulations, social distancing and face masks are required by all attending. Additional regulations are allowing only twenty-five (25) individuals in the funeral home at one time.
