The United States Department of Agriculture, through the Purdue Extension and community volunteers, will provide the Farmers to Families Food Box program in the parking lot of the Loogootee United Methodist Church today. The church is located at 208 West Main Street om Loogootee. The Farmers to Families Food Box event begins at 4:00 pm, and will run until quantities run out.
Please do not to line up early. Approximately 1,600 families will be served with a box of various dairy, meat, and vegetable products. The program is free regardless of income or need. Participants should use the parking lot’s Wood Street entrance and pay special attention to traffic directing. All participants are asked to wear a mask and stay in your vehicle. All you have to do is pull up, pop your trunk, and the food will be loaded for you.
