Faculty members at the University of Evansville are getting more time to discuss and analyze the school’s proposed realignment plan. The university extended the comment period until the end of next month, giving faculty more time to prepare a response. The University of Evansville President Christopher Pietruszkiewicz has proposed cutting 17 underused majors and lay off about a quarter of the school’s faculty. President Pietruszkiewicz says the cuts are necessary for the long-term survival of the school.
