Edward McCloskey

Edward McCloskey, 63, of Loogootee, passed away at 3:28 a.m. at IU Health – Bloomington.
He was born November 25, 1957 in Wabash, Indiana to the late Norman and Marthena (Grinstead) McCloskey.
Ed was an avid Indianapolis Colts fan. He enjoyed go-cart racing with his son, Lawson and operating radio control vehicles. Ed loved his five fur babies and watching birds. Ed had high hopes that one day he would be a recipient of a new kidney, but instead, he gave the gift of vision to someone else by donating his corneas.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Norman and Marthena McCloskey; sister, Lee Ann McCloskey; grandparents, Virgil and Kathryn Grinstead and Raymond and Vivian McCloskey; brother-in-law, David Butts.
Ed is survived by his significant other, Vicki Mullen of Loogootee; children, Andrew McCloskey of Hicksville, Ohio, Rae Ann Rather of Vincennes, Lawson McCloskey of Loogootee and Krystal Mullen of Vincennes; sisters, Lona Butts and JoEllen (Aaron) Gustin of Garrett; brother, Brent (Kelley) McCloskey of Loogootee; 9 grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, January 16, 2021 at Blake Funeral Home in Loogootee. Burial will follow in East Hill Cemetery in Arlington, Indiana.
Visitation will be held Friday, January 15, 2021 from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Blake Funeral Home.
