Rita Jane Burton, 73 of Washington, went to her heavenly home on Sunday, January 10, 2021.
Rita was born September 9, 1947, daughter to the late Paul Stafford and Laura Wildman Stafford.
Rita was a member of Twin Oaks Church of Petersburg, she attended Washington Schools, and was retired from her career as a kitchen clerk for the public school system.
Rita is survived by; siblings, Anita Pancake (Steve), Larry Stafford (Sylvia), and Dwayne Stafford (Beverly); and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by; her parents; and husband, Ronnie James Burton.
There will be a private service held on Thursday, January 14, 2021 at Gill Funeral Home. Burial will take place in Mt. Gilead Cemetery. You may sign the online guestbook at www.gillsince1872.com.
