The Barr Reeve Lady Vikings edged out a big win over South Knox 29-28.  Tracy Stoll sunk the game winning free throw with under one sending left to lead the Vikings to victory.  Barr Reeve improves to 10 and 4 on the season and will play Saturday afternoon at home against Pike Central.

Indiana dominated over the final 12 minutes the Hoosiers upset fourth-ranked Iowa 81-69 in Iowa City. IU fought back from a nine-point second half deficit and took control with a 23-3 run. Iowa entered the game as the second-ranked scoring offense in the nation at 92 points per game, and the Hawkeyes went 11 minutes without a field goal in the second half. Trayce Jackson-Davis led IU with 23 points, while Rob Phinisee added 18 and helped lockdown Iowa guard Jordan Bohannon. Indiana improved to 9-6 overall and 4-4 in the Big Ten, and will host Rutgers Sunday.
The Big East announced that Butler’s basketball game tonight against Seton Hall has been postponed due to COVID related issues within the Butler program. No makeup date was announced. The Bulldogs had COVID issues earlier this season that caused a two-week break. Butler has won two in a row for the first time this season after wins over then number eight Creighton and DePaul. The Dawgs were looking to avenge an earlier loss at Seton Hall.
Purdue aims for its fifth straight win when the Boilermakers host seventh-ranked Michigan tonight. The Boilers defeated number 15 Ohio State on Tuesday on a game-winning three in the final seconds from Jaden Ivey. Michigan is 12-1 and is favored by three points for the showdown at Mackey Arena.
The Indiana Pacers host the Orlando Magic tonight at Bankers Life Fieldhouse. Indiana is not sure if center Myles Turner will play. He has missed the last two games with an avulsion fracture in his right hand, and it is up to the league’s leading shot blocker if he can play through the pain. The Blue and Gold have dropped two straight with an average of 126.5 points allowed, and are 8-6 overall on the season. The Magic are 7-8 and the game tips off at 7 p.m. Eastern from downtown Indianapolis.
