At last night’s City Council Meeting, the Council agreed to designate the Mayor as the responsible official to sign USDA paperwork for City owned farmland. At the end of the meeting, Mayor Rhoads reported on the old US 50 project. The Mayor said work on curbs, driveways, sidewalks, and the Meridian Street intersection is continuing as weather allows. 93% of the sewer work and 94% of the water work are completed.
The Washington Board of Public Works and Safety met following the City Council and granted a request from Dr. Jeff Schaub to designate two parking spaces in front of his office as “patients only”. He stated the request was due to the fact that patients were having trouble finding a close parking place with the opening of the new Government Center.
