The Daviess-Martin County REMC Loogootee substation went down last night due to a power provider issue. This caused outages in southern Martin County, the Boggs Lake area, Cannelburg and parts of Montgomery. Power was restored at 11:46pm Monday evening. Barr Reeve School Superintendent Dr. Travis Madison put out a message last night saying that they are aware that many students and faculty are without power. He stated students will be excused in the morning if they are late due to the outage. Students will also be provided leniency and time for make up on any assignments and/or quizzes or tests.
