Daviess, Martin, and Knox Co under RED travel advisory

Winter weather has struck the area. Cold temperatures, snow, and ice have been the story over the past week. Cold temperatures will continue this week and probably won’t break 30 degrees until the weekend. Jesse Walker tells us what to expect for the rest of the week…

The Daviess County Commissioners have issued an emergency declaration and travel status has been upgraded to “RED”.
“Red” is the highest level of local travel advisory, means that travel may be restricted to emergency management workers only. During a “warning” local travel advisory, individuals are directed to:
(A) refrain from all travel; (B) comply with necessary emergency measures; (C) cooperate with public officials and disaster services forces in executing emergency operations plans; and (D) obey and comply with the lawful directions of properly identified officers.
Martin County and Knox County are also currently in “RED”.
