A stolen EMS vehicle was recovered in Vincennes. On Thursday, around 9:30AM, Vincennes Police took a vehicle theft complaint from the 700 block of S 13th. The stolen vehicle was a Knox County EMS vehicle.
All area law enforcement began searching the county for the vehicle. Thanks to the community for numerous tips, the vehicle was located near Lincoln High School at approximately 9:51 AM. Officers attempted to pull the vehicle over which led to a short vehicle pursuit which ended after the vehicle had gotten stuck. The male driver and sole occupant of the vehicle, Kevin Eads, was taken into custody.
During the investigation, Eads was also found to be wanted on four felony warrants and one misdemeanor warrant. Eads was charged with Auto Theft, Resisting Law Enforcement, Theft, and Driving While Suspended.
