A large fire engulfed several houseboats in flames Friday Morning. DNR says the fire happened at the Hoosier Hills Marina on Patoka Lake around 9 AM. The fire destroyed 11 boats and did damage to 21 others. The bulk of the fire was put out after nearly 4 hours of work by several area fire departments. The marina owners rushed to clear the other boats before crews arrived which helped limit much of the damage. No injuries were reported. State Fire Marshalls are currently investigating the cause.
