Notre Dame Athletic Director Jack Swarbrick says the Irish will not be represented in the upcoming NCAA Football game made by EA Sports. The Indianapolis Colts have seen their odds to win Super Bowl fifty-six improve only slightly since acquiring Eagles quarterback Carson Wentz via trade. Indianapolis’ odds prior to the trade were twenty-five to one and have improved to twenty to one.

Evidently no amount of money will get quarterback Carson Wentz his No. 11 jersey with his new team, the Indianapolis Colts.  Colts second-year receiver Michael Pittman Jr., who currently wears No. 11, says he has talked to Wentz about the number, and the answer is no on a possible switch.  It’s not uncommon for players on new teams to try to buy their preferred jersey number for a large amount of money from one of their teammates.

For all of the uncertainty surrounding the future of the Chicago CubsAnthony Rizzo is sure of one thing.  The star slugger wants to stay put.  Rizzo said yesterday he is hopeful about signing a long-term deal with the club before his contract expires at the end of the season.  President of baseball operations Jed Hoyer said last week he would discuss long-term contracts with Rizzo, Kris Bryant and Javier Báez during spring training. All three players have expiring deals and are coming off difficult seasons. They also played huge roles in Chicago’s transformation from long-suffering, lovable losers to drought-busting champions.
