Edward “Butch” Gray, 73, of Petersburg, passed away February 23, 2021 in Washington, IN. He was born June 10, 1947 in Huntingburg, IN to Morris and Ruby Gray. He worked for many years as a coal miner and retired from Old Ben Coal Company and the Operator Engineers. He was a member of the Petersburg Moose, American Legion, and Petersburg VFW.
He is survived by his son, Butch (Jamie) Gray; daughters, Davi Mattingly and Dawn Davis; grandchildren, Abby Jo Davis, Madelyn Jochem, and Alex Gray; great grandchildren, Emma and Joseph Jochem; and sisters, Joan Grubb and Lou Clements. He is preceded in death by his wife, Diane Gray; his parents; brother, Steve Gray; and sister, June Hunt.
