A man was sent to the hospital after a crash in Dubois County Monday. The Dubois County Sheriff’s Office says the crash happened around 2:00 PM, just south of Haysville, on US HWY 231. Officials say 59-year-old Barry Nicholson of French Lick fell asleep at the wheel and left the roadway hitting a tree. The vehicle immediately caught fire. Nicholson was assisted by the public before rescue crews arrived. He was transported to Memorial Hospital in Jasper with what is believed to be non-life-threatening injuries.
