Ticket sales continue today at Barr Reeve High School for the Loogootee 1A Regional this Saturday. Barr Reeve will play Trinity Lutheran in game one at 10am. Tickets are session tickets only for one game and the cost is 8 dollars. Open Sales for Barr Reeve Community Members and Students will continue today from 9am to 3pm. Tomorrow will be open sales for any remaining tickets for anyone from 9am to 3pm. Barr Reeve received 1200 tickets for the game.
The Cincinnati Reds are excited to announce a limited number of single-game tickets for the 2021 season at Great American Ball Park will go on sale Wednesday, March 17 at 9 a.m. exclusively at reds.com. This public on sale excludes Opening Day. The ticket windows at Great American Ball Park will open the following day on Thursday, March 18 at 9 a.m. Tickets purchased for the 2021 season will be issued digitally via the MLB Ballpark app to allow contactless entry, including those purchased at the ticket windows. Reds Season Ticket Members will have the opportunity to purchase single game tickets in advance of the public on sale, beginning on Monday, March 15. Fans with paid ticket vouchers or account credit from 2020 will be able to purchase single game tickets in advance of the public on sale, beginning on Tuesday, March 16.
Chicago is lifting some coronavirus restrictions in time for MLB’s Opening Day, allowing fans to attend games at Wrigley Field and Guaranteed Rate Field for the first time in more than a year. The rules, announced this week by Mayor Lori Lightfoot’s administration, take effect April 1, Opening Day for the Cubs. The home opener for the White Sox is April 8.

Butler begins the Big East Tournament tonight against Xavier at the iconic Madison Square Garden in New York City. The Bulldogs are the 10th seed against number seven Xavier. The Dawgs are 9-14 and 8-12 in the Big East, and their season would come to a close with a loss. Xavier is 13-7 overall and went 6-7 in conference play.
Purdue forward Trevion Williams was honored as a first team All-Big Ten selection by the league’s coaches Tuesday. Williams was named to the conference’s second team by the media. The 6-foot-10 junior is averaging 15.2 points and 8.8 rebounds per game going into the Big Ten Tournament. Additionally, Purdue’s Jaden Ivey and Zach Edey made up 40 percent of the Big Ten All-Freshman team. The 20th-ranked Boilermakers have won five in a row and will play either Ohio State, Minnesota or Northwestern in the quarterfinal round Friday afternoon at Lucas Oil Stadium.
Indiana forward Trayce Jackson-Davis was named a First Team All-Big Ten selection by the conference’s media. Jackson-Davis is averaging 19.1 points and nine rebounds per game for the Hoosiers. The former Mr. Basketball from Greenwood was honored by the Big Ten’s coaches on the second team. IU has lost five straight entering the Big Ten Tournament, and the Hoosiers take on Rutgers in the second round Thursday night at Lucas Oil Stadium.
It seemed as if the dream of a perfect season might end for the Gonzaga men’s basketball team in the West Coast Conference tournament on Tuesday. But Gonzaga found a rhythm in the second half — the Bulldogs were down by 12 points at halftime — to maintain a spotless record by securing an 88-78 win over BYU in the title game. Gonzaga (26-0) will now enter the NCAA tournament with an opportunity to match college basketball’s last perfect season, achieved by Indiana during the 1975-76 campaign.
