Janet Olene Hornaday, 80, passed away at 8:15 pm on March 16, 2021 at St. Charles Health Campus in Jasper, IN. Janet was born on June 2, 1940 in Washington the daughter of Everett and Helen (Wonder) Lewis.
Janet was a member of Mt. Olivette Church and enjoyed cooking and taking care of her grandchildren. Janet married Curtis Hornaday on October 28, 1962 and he resides in Loogootee, IN. Also surviving are daughter, Linda Eisenhut of Ireland, IN; son Kenneth Hornaday and Jan Barrow of Loogootee, IN; brother, Donald Lewis and his wife Mary of Washington, IN; grandchildren, Cody Hornaday and his wife Shelby, Ciara Hornaday, Kayla Eisenhut, and her great grandson Everett Hornaday. Janet was preceded in death by her parents and her brothers, Paul and Roy Lewis.
Friends may visit with Janet’s family from 4-7 pm on Friday, March 19, 2021 at Goodwin-Sievers Funeral Home, 2020 State St., Washington, IN. Janet’s funeral service will begin at 10:00 am on Saturday at Goodwin-Sievers Funeral Home in Washington and she will be laid to rest in Oak Grove Cemetery Reeve Township.
