Knox County Moves Toward Vote Centers

The Knox County Election Board has voted in favor of using a new system in future elections.  The KNOW-iNK system will provide updated results during elections.  It will also verify the total votes cast in comparison to registered voters.  Knox County Clerk, David Shelton says it is another form of checks and balances.   The E-Poll books could also begin the transition of Knox County to a voter center system where voters could vote at any location in the county.   Shelton says there could be 12 vote centers in Knox County.  That would be a change from the current 30 precincts.
