Steven Nesbitt

Steven Douglas Nesbitt, 71, of Vincennes, passed away at 5:40 am Wednesday, March 17, 2021 at his residence.

He was born March 21, 1949 in Vincennes, Indiana to John and Maxine (Sanneman) Nesbitt.

Steve retired from Nesbitt Orchard which he owned and operated for many years. A 1967 graduate of Lincoln High School, he served in the Air Force in the Philippines as a bomb inspector from 1967 to 1971 during the Vietnam War.  Steve was an avid hunter and loved playing golf. Steve loved to sing karaoke, which he was known for singing What a Wonderful World and will be especially missed by his karaoke partners Cindy, Debbie, and Smiley. His memberships included the Moose, American Legion, VFW, and the 40 et 8.

Surviving are his wife Linda (Bowman) Nesbitt whom he married September 13, 1969; his children Eric Nesbitt and his wife Dana of Portland, TX and Catherine Magnabosco and her husband Tony of Speedway, IN; his sister Cindy Murphy and her husband Brandon of North Port FL; his brothers Kenneth Nesbitt of Cincinnati, OH, and J.D. Nesbitt and his wife Sue of Lakeworth, FL; and his grandchildren Daniel Magnabosco and his wife Amanda, Joel Magnabosco, Sam Magnabosco, Julia Nesbitt, and Michael Nesbitt; one great grandbaby on the way; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Visitation will be from 9:00 am until 11:00 am Monday, March 22, 2021 at Goodwin Funeral Home. Private family funeral and graveside services in Memorial Park Cemetery will be held afterwards with Pastor Ron Maxwell officiating. Memorial contributions may be directed to Helping His Hands.  Goodwin-Sievers Funeral Home is honored to serve the family of Steven Nesbitt.
