Indiana Opens COVID Vaccines to Hoosiers 40 and Older

Beginning today, Indiana is expanding the eligibility for getting vaccinated for COVID-19 to all Hoosiers 40 years old, or older.  That makes the vaccine available to more than 400,000 additional Hoosiers.
Indiana has been taking a steady, age-based approach toward vaccinating the general public since early January.  The time frame in between adding age groups depends in large part on vaccine supply.  President Joe Biden says he wants to see all adults eligible to receive the vaccine by May 1.
Indiana Governor Eric Holcomb will give a state-wide address on Tuesday to announce plans for Indiana moving forward.
To schedule an appointment to receive a COVID vaccination, Indiana residents should go on-line to  ourshot.in.gov and select a location.  Indiana residents can also call 211, or call one of the State’s Area Agencies on Aging or contact AARP for assitance in scheduling a vaccine appointment.
