Janet Antley

Janet L. Antley, 79, of Vincennes, passed away in Evansville surrounded by her family at 11:00 pm Tuesday, March 30, 2021 at Deaconess Midtown Hospital.

She was born January 18, 1942 in New Albany, Indiana to George and Emma (Williams) Bright.

Janet retired from Good Samaritan Hospital after 46 years where she served as nursing supervisor and participated in community services. She was a member of St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church, American Legion Auxiliary, VFW Auxiliary, and the Moose She loved to read, play computer games, and enjoyed camping at Prides Creek.

Surviving are her husband Doyle Antley whom she married March 15, 2003; her children Keith Scheirmann and his wife Kyletta of Columbus, OH, Krista Morgan and her husband Rick of Evansville, Amanda Scheirmann of Newburgh, Kevin Scheirmann and his wife Brenda of Vincennes; her step children, all of Dubois County, Patricia Neukam and her husband Joe, Alyssa Antley, Karla Leinenbach and her husband Brad, Michelle Allen and her fiancé Kenny Hochsteng, Mitchell Antley and his wife Leslie; a sister Diana Robinson and her husband Dan of Wheatland, 23 grandchildren, and 11 great grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by her parents; her first husband Francis Scheirmann; a son Morris Bradley Scheirmann; brothers George Bright Jr. and John Bright; and a sister Angie Bright.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm Saturday, April 3, 2021 at Goodwin-Sievers Funeral Home in Vincennes.  Burial will follow in the Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Visitation will be from 11:00 am until the service. Memorial contributions may be directed to St. Francis Xavier Parish or Indian Schools in the Dakotas.  The family would like to extend thanks to the Deaconess Midtown Hospital for the kind and compassionate care she received.
