Crews responded to call last night regarding a heavily leaking anhydrous tank.
The call went our after 10 PM last night from a farm on East US Highway 50.
The tank was leaking heavily into a field and drifting towards the highway.
Anhydrous ammonia is toxic can be extremely harmful to the human body.
Once crews arrived they found that the farmer had made contact and shut off the valve.
Cannelburg Volunteer Fire Crews were on scene and assisted the farmer as well as made sure all tanks were shut off.
No injuries were reported.
The Daviess County Sheriff’s Department was also on scene.
