A Colorado man was arrested after a Tuesday morning chase.
Yesterday morning at around 7:20, Indiana State Police observed a silver 2016 Hyundai traveling through a yard and a ditch in a residential area north of Mt. Vernon.
The driver of the Hyundai left the residential area and drove south on SR69 passing several vehicles on the shoulder before making an unsafe U-turn. The driver lead troopers on a chase on before hitting stop sticks, which disabled two of the tires. The driver continued south before losing control, leaving the roadway, and overturning just north of High School Road.
The driver was identified as 51-year-old William M. Clanton of Golden, CO.
He was transported to Deaconess Midtown Hospital in Evansville where he was treated and released for minor injuries.
Clanton is currently charged with Resisting Law Enforcement and Reckless Driving and is being held on bond in the Posey County Jail.
