A bomb threat at a local school corporation lead to two arrests yesterday.
On Wednesday, around 9:30 AM, Knox County Central Dispatch was contacted about a possible bomb threat involving the Vincennes Community School Corporation Administration Building.
During the investigation, the Vincennes Police Department Detective Division was informed that three Sedexo employees were talking in a group text.
During the text exchange, 60-year-old Rudy Loewen, sent a text stating to call in a bomb threat for the school administration building. 42-year-old Erica Davis, replied “NOW”, in the text exchange. The third employee believed the texts to be real and called 911 stating there was a bomb threat for the school administration building.
Loewen and Davis were placed under arrest and charged with Intimidation and False Informing.
They are currently being held in the Knox County Jail.
Police say there is no credible threat to the School Corporation or the Vincennes community.
