USI student and staff email accounts hacked

They’re calling it one of the most successful hacker attacks they’ve ever seen.
The University of Southern Indiana says it was an email phishing scam that succeeded in hacking 20 accounts.
They say the email looks just like an email from the USI IT Help Desk, and asks students and staff to click a link and enter your school password. Of course, if you do that, your account is immediately hacked, along with any other account with the same password.
The 20 accounts that were hacked resulted in about 44,000 more scam emails being sent out.
The real USI IT Help Desk says if this has happened to you, change your passwords.
