A press box at a local high school will soon be named after a local broadcaster.
Local sports announcer Dave Young will be honored at Vincennes Lincoln’s Hill Field tonight at 6 PM.
The press box will be renamed the Dave Young Press Box in his honor.
Young has been the voice of the Vincennes Alice’s for over 30 years.
He recently had to step away from the call due to on-going health issues.
The family is currently asking for prayers and donations to help cover medical costs.
Donations can be mailed to Dave Young at 3005 East State Road 61 in Vincennes.
