Although not on the agenda, the U.S. 50 project was the lead story from Monday’s Washington City Council meeting. With paving on the western phase of the project scheduled to begin Monday, Mayor Rhoads says this phase of the multi year project is coming to an end.
The Mayor says traffic will be one lane and he asks everyone to drive cautiously in the construction zone
In regular business, the Council looked to the final phase of the U.S. 50 project and passed an ordinance appropriating funding for the projects third phase. Phase Three of the project will run from S.E. Third Street to the Old 50/State Street Forks.
