Commissioners hear 900 E project update, accept bid for storage building

The Daviess County Commissioners met with a full agenda on Tuesday.
The Highway Department provided an update on the 900 East project. Officials stated the project is progressing well and that utilities are still being installed.
The board also accepted a bid from Graber Post for a storage structure. The county plans to build a permanent storage building outside the annex.
In addition, county officials requested county employees avoid parking in front of the Court House. This will allow those coming in to pay property taxes a place to park.
Lastly, the Auditors Office provided an update on the sales of surplus county furniture. The county has made around $4,000 off the furniture sales and now plans to reach out to non-profits to see if they would be interested in the remainder of the supply.
