Mildred L. Long, 78, of Loogootee, Indiana passed away on Sunday April 25, 2021 at her residence.
She was born on December 7, 1942 in Washington, IN to the late Dewey and Mildred L. (Evans) Hawkins.
Mildred enjoyed coloring, cross word puzzles, and reading the Shoals News. She liked to go to town, go to yard sales, and playing with her cats.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Charles W. Long, her son, Dewey W. Long, her parents, Dewey and Mildred Hawkins, her grandchild, Jennifer Sergent, her great – grandchild Anna Long, and her brother Jim Hawkins.
Mildred is survived by her children, Donna K. (Ricky) Sergent, David (Starletta) Long, her grandchildren, Ricky (Stacy) Sergent, Samatha (Josh) Flick, Charles Anthony (Tiffani) Sergent, Travis Ray Sergent, Ashley (Paul) Steiner, Cody (Megan) Long, Chris (Makaylee) Long, Kyle Long, Alexis Long, Victoria Long, her great- grand- children, Addy Sergent, Aiden Sergent, Chase Sergent, Noah Sergent, Benjamin Flick, Dakota Long, Emalynn Long, Braylee Long, Elena Long, her siblings, Bob Hawkins,
and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday May 1, 2021 at 1:00 P.M at Blake Funeral Home in Loogootee, Indiana. Burial will follow at Mt. Union Cemetery.
