North Daviess defeated Barr Reeve in 8 innings  2-1 on Saturday.  Zach Stoll had both RBIs for the Cougars.  Daryn Lengacher and Kyle Swartzentruber combined for the North Daviess victory on the bump.  Barr Reeve fell Friday night to Princeton 10 to 8.
Washington lost a heartbreaker Friday night falling at North Posey 2 to 1 in 8 innings.  Nick Sandullo pitched a gem going the distance on the hill and taking the loss.  Washington will travel to Bloomfield tonight.  First pitch is set for 5:30pm.
The Chicago Cubs had a comeback bid fall just short, as the Pittsburgh Pirates held on for a 6-5 win at Wrigley Field. The Cubs scored three runs in the bottom of the ninth, and had the tying run on second base when Javy Baez grounded out to end the game and Chicago’s five-game winning streak. The Chicago White Sox completed a three-game sweep with a 9-3 win over the Kansas City Royals. White Sox starting pitchers allowed just one run throughout the series, and Chicago has won 10 straight games at Kauffman Stadium. In St. Louis, Adam Wainwright pitched eight and a third shutout innings and the Cardinals beat the Colorado Rockies 2-0. Former Rockies star Nolan Arenado scored both runs for the Cards, including a solo homerun. Rain wreaked havoc on games across the midwest Sunday. The Reds and Indians were rained out in Cleveland, and the Twins and Tigers also had their game postponed.
Martin Truex Jr. led 248 of 293 laps, including the final 105, en route to dominating victory in the NASCAR Cup Series at Darlington Raceway. Truex held off a late run by Kyle Larson, who finished second in NASCAR’s annual throwback race. The top five was rounded out by Kyle Busch, William Byron and Denny Hamlin. The win was Truex’s 30th career win and his third of 2021, and the Joe Gibbs Racing star is the only driver in the Cup Series to win more than once this season. NASCAR will race next week at the one-mile concrete Dover International Speedway.

The Indiana Pacers begin the final week of the regular season tonight on the road against the Cleveland Cavaliers. Indiana is 31-36 after a one-point overtime loss to the Washington Wizards Saturday night. The Cavs are coming off a 124-97 loss to the Dallas Mavericks Sunday.
