A longtime Vincennes city official has resigned.
Parks Superintendent Steve Beamon has presented the city with his resignation notice.
The Vincennes Mayor’s Office made the announcement yesterday.
Beamon has served in that position for about 16 years.
Officials report he has accepted another job opportunity in the Vincennes Community.
They also said that they wish him best of luck in his new position and described him as a dedicated superintendent.
