Several states cut off expanded unemployment benefits

A handful of states have decide to cut off expanded unemployment benefits that were being offered the height of the pandemic altogether.
Alabama, Iowa, Mississippi, Arkansas, Montana, and South Carolina have all cut off their expanded benefits and returned their unemployment programs to pre-pandemic operations.
Indiana is still offering expanded benefits, but Gov. Eric Holcomb said this week that in order to keep receiving those expanded benefits you must prove that you have been looking for a job.
Senator Mike Braun of Indiana hopes Holcomb will do the same as the aforementioned states.
