With sunny, warm, and humid conditions returning, many counties in central and southern Indiana will be under an Air Quality Action Day on Thursday.
The Indiana Department of Environmental Management is urging Hoosiers to drive less, mow your grass after 7 p.m., and conserve energy in your house by turning off lights in rooms you’re not using.
They also recommend and turning up the A/C just a couple degrees warmer than you usually do.
In addition, they encourage children, the elderly, and anyone with heart or lung problems to avoid being outdoors for long periods of time.
The counties affected here in the immediate area include Daviess, Dubois, Gibson, Greene, Knox, and Pike.
