Oaktown man arrested for stealing pair of boots

A man was arrested over the weekend in Vincennes after stealing a pair of boots.
On Saturday around 4:45 PM, Vincennes Police responded to a theft complaint at the Rural King on 6th street.
The store reported a male had stolen a pair of boots and fled on motorcycle.
They gave a description to the officers who were able to locate the suspect.
Officers attempted to stop the driver; however, police say the he continued to flee.
He eventually laid down the motorcycle and lead police on a brief foot chase until he was caught by officers.
The male, identified as 44-year-old Jeffrey Yarbrough of Oaktown, was taken into custody without incident.
The stolen boots were located in one of the motorcycles saddlebags.
He was transported to the Knox County Jail and charged with Resisting Law Enforcement, Resisting Law Enforcement with a Vehicle, Theft, and Leaving Scene of an Accident.
Yarbrough was also found to have an active Level 4 Felony warrant out of Sullivan County.
