A man convicted of murder in Vanderburgh County is now in the Gibson County Jail.
Erick Schmitt was given 75 years in prison for killing a convenience store clerk in 1998. He was let out on probation in 2012.
Schmitt is now back behind bars. He faces charges of residential entry, battery, intimidation, and driving while suspended following an incident last week near Princeton. He’s being held on a $10,000 cash-only bond.
Vanderburgh County is seeking to repeal his probation.
