Petersburg Fire Crews responded to a fire yesterday afternoon.
At around 9:30 pm, light smoke was noticed in the home of the Hornady Park Superintendent.
Further investigation revealed a working fire in the East exterior wall.
Three engines and 13 firefighters were on scene for about 90 minutes.
Fire officials believe the cause to be a lightning strike that happened around 4:45 pm.
No injuries were reported.
