The Daviess County Commissioners met with busy Tuesday morning agenda. The board approved a bid for two trucks for the highway department from Bill Dobson Ford totaling about $77,000. They also approved a matching community crossings grant and agreed to remove four roads from the county minimum maintenance list. They are looking to bring those roads up to modern standards. The areas include segments of 950 East, 725 East, 700 East, and 950 North.
The board also approved appraisals for the Old National Bank Building and agreed to begin taking bids for the sale of the property. They also agreed to forward two ARPA fund requests to the ARPA Funds Committee. One request was from the town of Montgomery and the other was from Dan Murray who was looking to increase salaries for three Adult Protection Services employees.
In addition, the board approved three bids from area pest control businesses for the spraying of county buildings. The commissioners also approved a Multi Hazard Mitigation plan for the county.
