Mark Allen Dillon 52, of Bruceville, went to his heavenly home on Thursday, July 15, 2021 with his family by his side.
Mark was a member of St. Philip Neri Catholic Church and was extremely involved in the community. Mark married Denise Dillon in Vincennes on August 7, 1992. He was an assistant principal at North Knox High School. He was a basketball coach, baseball coach, cross country coach, and a golf coach. During his time at NK he was also a teacher and athletic director. Mark had a great love for children and young people; his job was his zest for life, along with spending time with his own family. Mark loved to golf and fish in spare time.
Mark is survived by his loving wife, Denise Dillon; parents, Diana Fairhurst Carrico (Ken Carrico) and Everett Dillon (Cherilyn Dillon); children, Zach Dillon, and Andrew Dillon; siblings, Krista Meyer (Rod), Kyla Romans (Cory), Danell Yochum (Ed), and Brently Dillon. Mark also had 43 nieces and nephews in addition to many great nieces and great nephews.
He was preceded in death by; a son, Kendall Charles Dillon; maternal and paternal grandparents; and his mother-in-law.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, July 18, 2021 from 4:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. at the North Knox Gymnasium. A Mass with Christian Burial will be on Monday, July 19, 2021 at St. Philip Neri at 10:00 A.M. Burial will follow in St. Vincent Cemetery.
