Charles C. Huff, 87, of Odon, Indiana, peacefully passed away on Friday, July 23, 2021, at his residence. He was born on January 6, 1934, in Salyersville, Kentucky to James and Junie (McCarty) Huff.
Charlie was a steelworker for U.S. Steel in Gary with 33 years of service. He was a member of Local 1014 in Gary, Indiana.
Family left to cherish the memory of Charlie includes, sons, Charles Lee (Kathy) Huff of Rensselaer, Carson (Tami) Huff of Wheatland, Mark Huff of Washington, James Huff of Bloomington, his daughters, Laura Kwak of Odon, Peggy Phipps of Missouri and Vivian Huff of South Bend and fifteen grandchildren.
Charlie was preceded in death by his parents, great-granddaughter, Antoinette Calhoon, brothers, Walter, Breacher, Paul and James Huff, sisters, Ethel Bailey, Roxie Salyer and Thelma Martin.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, July 8, 2021, at Meng Family Funeral Home in Odon with Kenny Hudson officiating. Charlie will be laid to rest in Walnut Hill Cemetery in Odon.
Family and friends may call from 12:00 noon until 2:00 PM on Wednesday, July 28, 2021, the time of service at the funeral home.
