Evelyn L. Stafford, passed away at 4:20 pm on July 31, 2021 at the Lodge of the Wabash. Evelyn was born on May 23, 1923 in Lawrenceville, IL the daughter of Leo and Mae (Robinson) Junkin. She married Horace D. Stafford and he preceded her in death.
Evelyn was a graduate of Monroe City High School and worked as a Ward Clerk at Good Samaritan Hospital. She enjoyed quilting and spending time with her sisters.
Survivors include her sisters, Theresa McArthur of Bloomington, IN, Shirley Wiltrout of St. Petersburg, FL; grandchildren, Jeff Stafford and his wife Vicki of Vincennes, Brandy Stafford, Cheryl Worland; great grandchildren, Dane Stone, Kylie; daughter-in-law’s, Shirley Burress of Monroe City, Sondra Stafford of Monroe City, step-son, Prent Stafford of Petersburg, IN, nieces, Lisa Rumer, Ann Kealey, Terry Crouch; and a nephew, Steve McArthur. Evelyn was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Horace Stafford, and a sister, Helen Adams.
Friends may visit with Evelyn’s family from 10 am until the hour of service time of noon on Wednesday, August 4, 2021 at Goodwin-Sievers Funeral Home, 524 Broadway, Vincennes, IN 47591 with Elaine Young officiating.
