Vincennes University is reversing course on it’s mask policy.
The University recently announced it will soon require everyone on campus to wear masks while indoors.
The mandate is set to take effect on Friday, August 6th, at 8:00 am with classes are set to resume on August 16th.
Officials say they want to make the start of the new semester as safe as possible as students arrive on campus.
No outdoor mask mandate will be in place, however, they may be required for outdoor events down the road.
Individuals who are alone in a private space, or individuals who are eating and drinking won’t need to wear a mask.
VU said the decision was made in light of the most recent mask recommendations from the CDC.
