While Colts quarterback Carson Wentz could be trending towards a return for the start of the regular season, Jacob Eason looked confident in Tuesday’s training camp practice at Grand Park. The second-year gunslinger went 12-of-16, including five completions to T.Y. Hilton. Eason got all of the starting reps Tuesday with rookie Sam Ehlinger out with a non-COVID illness. The Colts defensive line got a pair of boosts. Defensive tackle DeForest Buckner and rookie defensive end Kwity Paye each returned to the practice field after missing time with injuries.

Indiana led by four at halftime, but Phoenix took control in the third quarter by outscoring the Fever 23-15. The Fever got within two points at three different times in the final two minutes, but could not get over the hump. Indiana was led by Kelsey Mitchell’s 20 points. Their road trip continues Friday night in Dallas.
