A 10-hour standoff with police put a Newberry man behind bars over the weekend.
Late Friday evening, officers with the Washington Police Department attempted to serve an arrest warrant on 40-year-old Joshua Hasler of Newberry.
Once officers made contact with the subject, they day he fled to a small barn.
According to a police report, Hasler refused to exit the building and was armed with a firearm.
The Swat Team was called to the scene along with Indiana State Police Negotiators.
After a nearly 10-hour standoff, Hasler was finally taken into custody.
He was booked into the Daviess County Security Center on several charges.
