Daviess County continues to show low unemployment numbers.
According to the state’s latest data, Daviess County had the sixth lowest unemployment rate in the state for July at 2.6%.
Last year, Daviess County showed an unemployment rate of 4.6% in July and had the lowest in the state for many months.
Adams County had the lowest rate in Indiana last month coming in at 2.4%.
Lake County had the highest rate coming at 8%.
Around the area for July, Dubois County was at 2.7%, Martin County at 2.8%, Gibson County at 3.1%, Knox County at 3.5%, and Pike County had an unemployment rate of 4.1%.
All of those were down from last year.
Indiana’s unemployment rate for July was at 4.1%.
That’s down from last year’s 8.6%.
