he Barr-Reeve Boys Tennis team edged out their match over Northeast Dubois 3-2 on the road yesterday.  Barr Reeve goes to 4-0 on the season.

The North Daviess Volleyball team fell last night to Vincennes Lincoln 25-14, 20-25, 18-25, 23-25.  The JV team lost in two.  North Daviess is home tonight against Clay City.
The Washington boys tennis match last night with Rivet was cancelled due to rain.  Tonight’s match against Loogootee has been pushed back to 6pm.
The Washington Girls Golf team will host Jasper and Springs Valley tonight at Country Oaks.
The Hatchet Volleyball team is back in action on the road at Princeton for a conference match up

At North Daviess, the Cross Country team will run at the Sullivan Invitational, while the Girls golf team faces off with Pike Central and Vincennes Lincoln at Vincennes.
Brandon Woodruff shut down the Reds offense and the Milwaukee Brewers beat Cincinnati 4-1 Wednesday night. Woodruff struck out 10 over six shutout innings, and the Brewers upped their lead in the NL Central to 9 ½ games. The Reds and Brewers wrap up the series in Miwaukee today.  Live coverage at 1:40pm on the General 95.9 / 101.3 / AM 1580.  The Cubs and Rockies split a doubleheader at Wrigley Field. Chicago took the first matchup 5-2 thanks to a go-ahead, three-run home run from Patrick Wisdom in the bottom of the fifth in a game scheduled for seven innings. Colorado won Game 2 13-10 in 10 innings.  The St. Louis Cardinals walked off the Detroit Tigers 3-2 in 10 innings Wednesday at Busch Stadium.   The Toronto Blue Jays scored two runs in the eighth inning and went on to beat the Chicago White Sox 3-1 at Rogers Centre.
Yadier Molina has agreed to a one-year extension with the St. Louis Cardinals, indicating it will be the All-Star catcher’s final year with his longtime team.  Sources told ESPN the deal is worth $10 million.  Molina who is  39, has spent his entire career (2,119 games over 18 seasons) with the Cardinals, including 2,080 games behind the plate — the most of any catcher for one team. The only two players to play more games in a Cardinals uniform are Hall of Famers Stan Musial and Lou Brock.
The Indianapolis Colts wrapped up training camp at Grand Park Wednesday in advance of Friday’s preseason finale in Detroit. Coach Frank Reich said that after consulting with Lions coach Dan Campbell, neither team will play many starters in Friday night’s contest. Second-year quarterback Jacob Eason will get the start under center over rookie Sam Ehlinger. Carson Wentz practiced for the third straight day.
