COVID Cases Continue to Surge in S.W. Indiana

The COVID-19 surge continues to hit southwestern Indiana.
Friday, the Daviess County Health Department reported 59 new confirmed positive cases of COVID-19 in Daviess County Since Wednesday.   Of these cases 52 were unvaccinated, including 13 patients under the age of 11-years-old.    Daviess County’s 7-day positivity rate stands at 11.3%.
Knox County reported 37 new since Thursday.  Knox County’s 7-day and a positivity rate of 19.3 percent.
Martin County had 8 new confirmed positive cases Thursday.
Martin County’s 7-day positivity rate stands at 13.6%.
Greene County had 16 new confirmed positive cases since the department’s last report on Thursday. Greene County’s 7-day positivity rate stands at 8.4%.
Pike County had 26 reported confirmed positive cases of COVID-19 since Thursday.   Pike County’s 7-day positivity rate stands at 12.7%.
Dubois County reported 51 new confirmed positive cases of COVID-19 since Thursday.  Dubois County’s 7-day positivity rate stands at 11.8%.
